The Color Run is one of the most memorable experiences you will ever have.
繽紛馬拉松將會是你有生以來最難忘的經驗之一。
Are you ready to have the time of your life? If you are, then grab your family and friends and get yourselves out to The Color Run. This is a _(1)_ untimed, five-kilometer race that is all about adding color to your life and your clothes. _(2)_ start out wearing completely white outfits at the event. By the end, they are covered from head to toe _(3)_ different colors. That's because at each kilometer of the race, the runners are dipped with colored powder. The best part, though, is the gigantic Color Festival at the end of the race, where everyone gets to throw colors at the runners crossing the finish line.

Your car may soon be able to tell if you're stressed out or even too drunk to drive.
你的車可能很快就可以分辨你是否很緊張,或甚至醉到無法開車。

Bollywood movies are taking the world by storm.
寶萊塢電影正席捲全世界。
Before there was Mumbai, there was Bombay, the city's former name, which was the center of the Indian film industry. Bollywood, which is a combination of Bombay and Hollywood, is not actually a physical location like its cousin in the West. Instead, it refers to the part of the industry that produces nearly all the Hindi-language based movies in the world.

You are getting very sleepy. Now, close your eyes and relax.
你越來越睏了。現在,閉上雙眼放鬆一下。
Hypnosis is a special, temporary psychological state which slightly resembles sleeping. However, it is mainly characterized by heightened focus and concentration. _(1)_ They do this by blocking out all possible day-to-day distractions. The term hypnotherapy refers to the use of hypnosis in the treatment of various conditions by using the power of the mind to help cure various physical and mental disorders.
Hypnosis was once considered a form of quackery by the medical community. _(2)_ From anxiety and depression to panic attacks and phobias, sufferers of these conditions have benefited from hypnosis. Its many proponents claim that hypnosis can improve memory and concentration, release emotional trauma, and even increase self-esteem. _(3)_ Many people swear that hypnosis has even helped them quit smoking after trying every other method out there.
A common misconception is that a person is not in control of their mind or feelings when they are hypnotized. _(4)_ Instead, people's bodies and minds become extremely relaxed with heightened concentration. This happens through the power of suggestion by the hypnotist and can only occur with the willingness and full consent of the person being hypnotized. No one can be hypnotized involuntarily.
There are also self-hypnosis methods available. _(5)_ These techniques are simple and can be mastered by anyone in a short time. Although many people have reported success with self-hypnosis, professionals stress that it is often insufficient to create long-lasting changes.

Online degrees are one of the hottest global trends.
線上學位是全球最熱門的趨勢之一。
Have you ever considered pursuing a college degree online? In the not-so-distant past, such degrees were perceived as inferior and commanded little respect from academics and employers alike. Now all that has changed and online education is one of the fastest growing global trends. The online student population is expanding by 30 percent per year, and approximately 86 percent of colleges and universities now offer online degree programs. Included among them are top tier American universities like Duke and NYU.
Why has earning a degree primarily through the Internet become so appealing? There are several reasons. College graduates are less likely to be unemployed, even in today's economy, and their earning potential is much higher than that of non-college graduates. Another reason boils down to the flexibility of this approach. For the full-time employed, and those with families to care for, joining the ranks of the highly educated has become much more attainable.
However, hard work is essential. Online students have to study and apply themselves the same as conventional classroom students. Course work is assigned online and is usually posted on websites, along with related articles. There are links for lectures and supplementary materials. Student papers are submitted by email and professors typically hold office hours via online chatting programs. The Internet seems the ideal medium for the convergence of all the latest learning tools. Tuition fees for online programs are comparable to classroom-based ones, but being able to keep your day job and reduce transportation and parking costs will add up to real savings.
If you're thinking about getting an online degree, be sure to do your homework. Research the institutions you are considering. Online degrees are well accepted as long as the chosen university is known and respected.

It's that time of year to celebrate this light-hearted holiday.
這是一年中慶祝這個輕鬆愉快假日的時刻。
Each year, holidays are held to mark special occasions like the winning of a war or the birth of a famous president. Some other holidays like Christmas and Chinese New Year are _(1)_ so that families can get together and spend time with each other. There is only one holiday, though, that annually celebrates acting silly—April Fools' Day.
In some parts of the world, April Fools' Day is referred to _(2)_ All Fools' Day, while the French call it Poisson d'Avril, which means April Fish. On this day in France, school children _(3)_ tape fish to each other's backs hoping they don't get caught. It's _(4)_ whether the fish is a symbol of Jesus Christ, who was represented as a fish in early times, or if it has to do with Pisces, the zodiac sign which is a fish and is close to April. The only thing _(5)_ really matters about April Fish is that kids get a kick out of it.
The origins of April Fools' Day aren't _(6)_ clear either, but the most widely accepted theory centers around France's New Year's Day moving from the end of March to the beginning of January in the mid-1500s. Up until then, _(7)_ of New Year's Week ended on April 1. French ruler King Charles IX decided that France would _(8)_ the more modern Gregorian calendar at that time in 1564. The problem was that many people were unhappy about the switch and _(9)_ to follow the king's rule. Eventually, those people were thought of as _(10)_ and became the butt of jokes when they were invited to parties on April 1 that never happened.
